Founded in 2010, Factory Portland aids musicians with design, photography and marketing goals. Starting in 2013, Factory Portland is expanding its services to include Wordpress support, and content creation for the web. Stephen has also exhibited his photography in Portland (Portland Museum of Art, Institute for Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art) and Boston (School of the Museum of Fine Arts, University of Massachusetts, and California (University of California, Santa Barbara). Previously, Stephen served as Associate Director of a Boston based non-profit focused on raising funds for secondary education in East Africa. His duties included serving as the Creative Director, Director of Technology, introducing, launching and maintaining social networking services and event planning. An alumnus and forrmer employee of Maine College of Art, Stephen worked assisting with marketing and website maintenance in the Technology Department from 2000 to 2012. Through all three organizations, he has combined his love of art, technology, social media, music and event planning.

Why did you choose Portland? Other than a short stint in Ireland for a study abroad, Portland has always been my home. I've found very few places like it and that's just part of why I love it!

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Food! Bite Into Maine, Bresca, Fore Street, Duckfat… you can't throw a rock without hitting an amazing restaurant in Portland.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? My wife teases me that I can't go anywhere without running into someone I know… the best is running into a Portlander in Boston or New York.
