Lives In Portland

I was raised by a sailor and a dancer on Peaks Island, which I think is a pretty good place to start explaining who I am. I have my hands in many things and my head in even more. I love design, creativity, playing with clay, paper, fabric and the visual aesthetics of a room. Sometimes I get in trouble at home for rearranging the house too much... Massage therapy allows me to spread goodness in the world, help people become more aware of their bodies, and alleviate pain and stress. I work with an elderly population in Falmouth, and I love them all. I also love walking, hiking, sailing, having tea, dance, music, movies, sharing ideas, and anything inspiring. I laugh a lot, cry at anything sappy, and strive to love life more everyday, which is pretty easy to do in Portland, Maine.

Why did you choose Portland? I grew up here and although I tried to leave, I ended up here again and haven't been able to leave since. This town is full of creative, inspiring, mind blowing people who make their dreams come true, and then share them with everyone else in the community. Top that off with a gorgeous location with ocean, woods and mountains all within reach and you have yourself a perfect place to live, grow and experience life!

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Wander downtown, take them to my favorite restaurants and talk up all of the wonderful things that happen here!

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? The Eastern Prom. You can see everything from there.

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Summertime Portland involves First Friday Art Walk, drinks outside at the Regency, dinner at Shay's or the Downtown Lounge, and catching the fire jugglers in Tommy's park, followed by brunch at the Front Room, and maybe a walk on the Eastern Prom.
