I use words and pictures to tell stories and help others tell theirs.

Job illustrator, designer, marketing & PR

Lives In SoPo

A Boston-area native, I've lived in Maine almost as long as my hometown. Ten years in marketing, PR and design and I'm venturing out as a full time freelance illustrator, graphic designer and writer. When not making things, I run, surf, hike and cook.

Why did you choose Portland? For a girl. At least to start. Close contenders were the growing arts scene, cool city and proximity to both beaches and mountains.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Kazeem Lawal of Portland Trading Company - great guy who has a strong retail vision, a terrific wardrobe and a dynamite vinyl collection. Amanda O'Brien of Social Media Breakfast Maine and Flyte - Portland's own social media celebrity and one of the hardest workers in the city; and you can't beat her rhubarb wine!

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Depends on their tastes. I try to find a balance between what they should experience and what they'll enjoy experiencing. Too many years in the restaurant business may be to blame there...

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Running Portland Trails, coffee and donuts at HiFi, browsing the shelves at Print or Longfellow, drinks and dinner out at...well, are there bad meals here?

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The museum - PMA does an incredible job curating exhibits that you'd expect to see in much larger cities.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Rosemont Market - meats, produce, baked goods. All so good!
