Lives In The East End
I’ve been photographing weddings and lifestyle portraits nationwide for 12 amazing years. The intense emotion of a wedding day and the delicate and intimate act of childbirth are simple moments that I love to watch unfold.
I currently call Portland my home, where every opportunity I have I pick up my camera. I consider it an honor to document life, and I’m inspired by my unique connection with each of my clients.
Why did you choose Portland? The city felt right to me. I moved here on a complete whim in 2009 from San Diego and have never once regretted that decision. I love the nooks and crannies and how I'm constantly inspired here.
Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Willa Kammerer : multimedia storyteller. Sara Corbett : writer, traveler and one of the most humble sweetest people I've met here. Lael Jepson of SheChanges is connecting women and creating space for BIG movement. Kristin Bingham, a business coach, fitness instructor and my mentor. She's married to Dean Bingham the chocolatier of Dean's Sweets. Love the two of them - such a powerhouse couple and wonderful inspiration. Coreena Behnke : police officer and R.A.D instructor - she's doing a lot for our community as a police officer but also a self defense instructor.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? EAT. Walk the streets. Drive the peninsula so they can take in all sides to Portland.
Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? My deck that has a view of the city.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? The FOOD!
What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Pistachio gelato at Gorgeous Gelato
Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Live music or a show at Portland Stage. Sunday morning Caiola's brunch. Mmmm, their pancakes.
Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Not just one particular spot, ALWAYS have a good time where ever I go in the city.
My work is collected both locally and internationally. I've been educating art students in New England since the Millennium.
