Lives In Portland
I'm a very recent transplant who was born and bred in Michigan then fled to NYC. I spent nearly three decades there and knew it was time for a change. I fell in love with Portland when I first visited and felt I could only be happy here. Now I'm settling in and am eager to delve back into my writing, inspired by my new environment. I want to be involved in the community and learn what I can contribute.
Why did you choose Portland? It has everything I want in a city -- great food, arts, proximity to the waterfront and plenty of parks -- plus everything is accessible. Coming from New York City, this is a real plus. I couldn't resist this town.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? I'm still pretty much an out-of-towner myself, but my plan would be to take them to the old port, show off the city's parks and culinary delights and hopefully make them decide to join me here.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? Just how much is packed into the area and how easy it is to get around.
I use my twin identity as an artist and writer to create work for commercial and editorial clients.
Creator of tasty lobster rolls. Avid supporter of Portland's food truck scene. Passionate about good food that accessible.
