Lives In West End

I came to Portland from England in the mid sixties. I immediately felt at home here, and my love for the people and the place has deepened and strengthened as the years have gone by.

People are drawn to Maine for many reasons, and art is one of them. Artists are drawn by the light and the landscape as well as the lifestyle and also the  wonderful acceptance of eccentricity by Maine people.

Collectors and art lovers say they are impressed by the high level of art in such a small city. To say nothing of the music, theater and multitude of fine restaurants and interesting eateries.

There really is something here for everybody. Mountains for skiing, rivers and lakes for canoeing and boating, the ocean for sailing. You can hike, swim, fish, camp or languish at  spas and resorts.

It's a marvelous place to show art and a fabulous place to see art.
