Lives In Portland

Professional editorial and commercial photographer based in Portland, specializing in environmental portraiture.  I've been fortunate enough to create images from the Arctic Circle to Iraq, but my best photograph is always right around the corner.

I'm a transplant from the Mojave Desert and am proud to call Portland my home.

Why did you choose Portland? My wife Beth and I came to Portland for work seven years ago. We chose to stay because of the community, the creative energy...and the pubs. In a word, it's home.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Too many to list, really.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Take them to Peaks Island, Ft. Williams State Park (because, lighthouse!), and then we eat our way from the West End to the Eastern Prom.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Eastern Prom.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? That it's still kind of a secret.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Holy Donuts on Exchange.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Ft. Gorges.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Bard Coffee and the Crooked Mile, both in downtown Portland
