Capturing the Elements of Your Life

I have always enjoyed creating, from writing to drawing and painting. I entered Colby-Sawyer College to study graphic design, and later found a love for photography. I continue to enjoy to work in these mediums.

Design is everywhere you look from buildings to cereal boxes. We are inundated with design every waking moment. I believe that a quality design is not only pleasing to look at but also instantly conveys the message in the proper tone. The appearance of the design needs to attract the desired demographic and leave a lasting and positive impression. I enjoy organizing information and imagery to craft professional and visually striking layouts.

Photography is poetic to me, it captures moments, elements of peoples' lives to share and cherish forever. From wedding vows to a baby's first birthday, these moments are ones that we want to remember. I do not simply press a button that triggers a shutter, I capture these special, or day to day occasions because... these are the elements that make each of us who we are.

Why did you choose Portland? I chose Portland because it is an area conducive to creativity. I love that it is a coastal area and that I always seem to find places that I never knew existed, there is a lot to explore and discover.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? All of the creative people from visual artists to performers.
