I can do that

Job Graphic Designer, Illustrator, Creative Director, Musician / Freelance

Lives In Cumberland

I grew up in Maine as the son of an Irish immigrant mother. The words "I can't..." were never a part of our vocabulary growing up, which is an ideal I still hold onto today. I learn by doing, making mistakes, and triumping in the end.

I studied music at the University of Maine. After I graduated, I traveled the US in a van w/ bands and discoved that I love Maine more than any other place in the country. I also discovered my passion for design. I returned to school and attended MECA in an attempt to focus that passion.

I'm currently a freelance designer and illustrator with a strong focus on branding, packaging, apparel, illustration, and creative direction.

Why did you choose Portland? I initially moved to Portland in 1994 to become involved in the emerging original music scene.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Anyone who gets by doing what they love.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Walk around the Old Port. Get a cup of chowder at Gilbert's Chowder House. Visit Wyler's and Folly. Get a slice of pizza at Anthony's. Get a cup of Bubble Tea.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Caramel Latte @ Crema
