I am a menace around town.
Job Tech Support, Designer, DJ / Freelance
Lives In Libbytown
Lifelong Mainer (third Generation) and 8 year Portlander.
I spend a lot of time working from home, providing technical support for a large photography company. Do a little design work on the side to keep my creative juices going. Love to cook healthy meals (and then instagram them). I enjoy a fine cocktail, working in the yard with my Fiancé and spending time with my Portland friends and family.
I am one half of the dj duo ATOMIK. You can find us djing about once a month.
Why did you choose Portland? I love Maine, but needed a little more than what I had at my fingers in the Midcoast.
Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Lauren Wayne at State Theatre for helping keep Portland on the map musically. All of the creative and environmentally minded small business owners. Too many to list here.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Food. Food. Food.
Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Any place where friends gather for a meal and a drink and lots of laughter.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? The surprising amount of things to do on any given day. Portland is a small city, but there are plenty of hidden places, parks and businesses always there to explore.
What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Delicious, healthy, local food. Miyake, Caiola's, Eventide, etc.
What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Probably our transit system. So many cabs, buses, trains, boats and planes, yet most of us still use our own transportation.
Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Five course tasting at Miyake, a decent cocktail at Sonny's, dancing at Flask Lounge, Caiola's brunch in the morning.
Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Whole Foods. It never fails.
I talk and think and read and write about my favorite state and the people who live here
My work is with paint as much as it is with the creative minds of Maine's foremost art students.
