Lives In Munjoy Hill

I am a wood sculptor and live and work on Munjoy Hill.  I have been teaching sculpture, drawing and design at USM since 1981. My exhibition experience is widespread and my work has been included in many collections and invitational sculpture exhibits around New England. I also serve as the co-chair of the Portland Public Art Committee. My husband and I love to walk and bicycle all over Portland.

Why did you choose Portland? Portland is a small and diverse city with a supportive artist community.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Too many to list!

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Walk by the water, go up the Observatory, eat good food.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Eastern Prom Trail, and my studio and home.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? There is a lot to do for such a small city.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Sticky buns at Standard Baking Co.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? The Portland Trails trails that are on the outer edges of town.
