Why did you choose Portland? Portland is like a single Brooklyn borough. It has everything you need within a 30 minute walk (no subway needed!).

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? I would invite you to a Saturday morning bagel party!

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? The cupola in my house! It's the 2nd highest place in Portland - after the Observatory.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? My favorite indulgences? Eclairs from Bakery on the Hill, $7 Miyake take-out sushi sold at Rosemont (East End), and cooking supplies from Le Roux!

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Sunset at Fort Sumner, overlooking Back Cove and Portland. My deck in January...

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Walking around Portland at night to admire Pandora's Christmas lights, followed by a bagel party (my house!) the next morning.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Novare Res, Hilltop Coffee, and Rosemont!
