I have been living abroad in Europe for several years and I recently decided to relocate to Portland. I grew up around here but I spent most of my time living and working in Madrid, Spain. My recent move back to Portland has given me the opportunity to really get to know the city and the amazing creative energy out there. I work at the Phoenix Studio with my family, a creative team of professionals specializing in the design, production, repair and restoration of stained glass. On the side, I work as a Spanish interpreter for a Portland-based lawyer.
Why did you choose Portland? Lovely place to feel at home. It is small compared to other big cities where I have lived but has a lot to offer.
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Go out to dinner. Definitely eat some lobster.
What's the most surprising thing about this city? People don't really complain about the cold winter!
