I twirl for a living, what more could there be?

Job Choreographer, Dancer, Artist / Dances with Portland Ballet

Lives In Near Tony's Donuts

I am a professional dancer who moved here to Portland last summer to dance with Portland Ballet. I have a BFA in dance from the Boston Conservatory where I studied performance and choreography.  I have been creating dances for 11 years, and am always looking for more places to create new works. I have studied art since I was very young and would have pursued visual art in school if I hadn't gone to dance. I paint using the mediums of acrylic and watercolor mostly, with other mixed media on the side. I want to bring creative projects together, and network and meet others like me in the Portland community.

I am enjoying getting to know Portland. The food and city size have a welcoming feel. I have lived in 10 cities and 6 states and I really love it here and want to stay for a while.

Why did you choose Portland? Portland has a feel to it. It reminds me of a place I grew up. The feeling of old history, thriving economy, and new ideas makes this city's heart beat.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Take them out! Show them that things happen here. First Friday Art Walk and festivals, the Ballet, the Symphony.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? The Eastern Prom

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The dog-friendly vibe. Not something you see in other coastal cities. Others claim they are but not as much as Portland.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? The drinks at Ginko Blue! They are true artists there!

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Still looking, it seems to move a lot.
